Resurrection Church Helps 27 Local Charities!

Yesterday marked a significant milestone for our local community as Resurrection Church announced the distribution of proceeds from their annual 2026 Joyous Junque sale. This year, funds were distributed among 27 deserving local charities, and all of us at SML Good Neighbors are deeply honored to be counted among the recipients.

The financial support raised through this signature church sale event plays a critical role in allowing non-profits across our region to sustain and expand their vital services. However, for SML Good Neighbors, the story doesn't end with a grant check. Resurrection Church’s heart for our community goes so much further than financial contributions, they are true partners in every sense of the word.

True Partnership in Action

A dedicated community partnership is built on presence, consistency, and shared effort. Time and time again, the Resurrection Church family steps up to show their unwavering support for our mission. Whether they are allowing use of their facilities to host our local bingo nights, helping champion our past years cornerstone events, or actively participating in our crucial 24-hour fundraising drive, their presence is felt throughout the entire year.

This ongoing involvement powers the programs that directly uplift local families, foster youth educational initiatives, and strengthen the social safety net across our neighborhood.

An endeavor as massive and successful as the Joyous Junque sale doesn't happen overnight. It requires month after month of logistics, sorting, organizing, and community outreach.

We want to extend a massive thank you to the team of more than 100 dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly year round to bring this event to life, as well as the entire Resurrection Church congregation. Because of your generosity, vision, and tireless spirit, organizations like ours can continue serving those who need it most, right here in the place we all call home.
